Chiara Mingarelli is an Italian-Canadian astrophysicist and an Assistant Professor of Physics at Yale University, a position she has held since 2023. Previously, she served as an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut from 2020 to 2023. Her research primarily focuses on the detection of gravitational waves, specifically looking for signatures of supermassive black hole mergers and the random gravitational wave background they create, utilizing Pulsar Timing Arrays.
