Cheryl Thompson is a Black Canadian academic and researcher specializing in Black media studies, performance, archives, and collections in Canada. She serves as the Director and Creative Lead of Mapping Ontario's Black Archives (MOBA) and the Black Creative Lab. Additionally, she is an associate professor at Toronto Metropolitan University in the school of performance.
Thompson is the author of multiple books that explore race, culture, and history.
