Charles Liang Chien-Hou, born in Chiayi, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese billionaire businessman and electrical engineer. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. As a student, Liang was interested in medical technologies, working on computerized systems to help diagnose illnesses.
