Biography

Celine Herweijer served as the Group Chief Sustainability Officer and a Group Executive Committee member at HSBC. In this role, she was responsible for leading all aspects of HSBC’s Group-wide Sustainability strategy and execution, and co-chaired the HSBC Group ESG Committee. She is currently on garden leave from HSBC (Jan-Jun 2025).

Prior to her tenure at HSBC, Herweijer was a Partner and Global Sustainability & Innovation Leader at PwC for 12 years.
