Carmen M. Reinhart is a Cuban-American economist recognized for her extensive work in macroeconomics and international finance. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at The World Bank, a position she has held since June 2020.
Concurrently, she is the Minos A. Zombanakis Professor of the International Financial System at Harvard Kennedy School, a role she has held since 2012, though she is currently on leave.
