Biography

Carlos Fernández Valdovinos is a Paraguayan economist currently serving as the Minister of Economy and Finance in Paraguay, a position he assumed on August 15, 2023. Prior to his current ministerial role, he was the Governor of the Central Bank of Paraguay from October 2013 to August 2018. During his tenure as Governor, he also served as Governor of the International Monetary Fund and was a member of the National Economic Team.
