Carlos Cuerpo Caballero, born on September 26, 1980, is a Spanish economist and politician. He currently serves as the Minister of Economy, Trade and Enterprise in the government of Pedro Sánchez, a position he has held since 2023. He succeeded Nadia Calviño in this role after she was elected as president of the European Investment Bank.
In addition to his ministerial duties, Cuerpo is an Ex-Officio Member of the Board of Governors for several European Union organizations.
