Carlo Monticelli is an Italian economist currently serving as the Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank, a position he has held since December 18, 2021.

Prior to his current role, Monticelli was the Head of International Financial Relations in the Treasury Department at the Ministero Dell'Economia E Delle Finanze. He also served as the Head of European Economics, Global Markets Research at Deutsche Bank.
