Brendan Thomas Carr, born January 5, 1979, in Washington, D.C., is an American lawyer and government official.

He has served as the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) since 2025, following his appointment by President Donald Trump in November 2024. Prior to this, Carr was a Commissioner at the FCC since 2017.
