Brenda Strong is an American actress and director with a career spanning several decades in television and film. She is widely recognized for her role as Mary Alice Young in the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives from 2004 to 2012, which earned her two Emmy Award nominations. Strong also starred as Ann Ewing in the TNT prime time soap opera Dallas from 2012 to 2014.
