William John Pulte is the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and Chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, roles he has held since 2025. He was nominated for the FHFA directorship by President-elect Donald Trump in January 2025 and confirmed by the Senate in March. During his tenure, he appointed himself chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Pulte founded Pulte Capital, a private equity firm, in 2011.
