Bethann Hardison is an American fashion model and activist, born in Brooklyn, New York. After attending New York University Art School and the Fashion Institute of Technology, she began her career in the garment district. In 1967, designer Willi Smith discovered her, leading to her work as a fitting model and soon transitioning to runway and print.
