Dr. Bernd Simon holds a postdoctoral qualification (habilitation) in Business Administration and has dedicated 25 years to exploring the use of information technology in educational institutions. His academic background includes the Institute for Information Systems and New Media at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien).

In 2004, Dr. Simon founded Knowledge Markets out of WU Wien.
