Ben Schreer serves as the Executive Director of IISS-Europe at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. His professional focus includes Australian defence policy, strategic studies, Asia-Pacific security, and NATO.

Prior to his current role, Schreer held positions as a Senior Analyst Defence Strategy at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, Deputy Director at the Aspen Institute Germany, and Research Fellow at Stiftung Wissenschaft Und Politik (Swp).
