Ben Houchen, Baron Houchen of High Leven, born on December 9, 1986, is a British Conservative politician and life peer. He currently serves as the Mayor of the Tees Valley, a position he holds at the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

In addition to his mayoral duties, Houchen is the Vice Chairman at Transport For The North. His political career includes being an MEP Candidate for the North East for The Conservative Party. Prior to his political roles, he worked as a Solicitor at Bhp Law.
