Rebecca A. Balint is an American politician who represents Vermont's at-large congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. A progressive Democrat, she was elected to Congress in 2022, becoming the first woman and openly LGBTQ person to represent Vermont in the U.S. Congress. Prior to her election, Vermont was the only state that had not previously elected a woman to Congress.
Before her federal service, Balint was a prominent figure in Vermont state politics.
