Basile Simon is the Director of Special Projects at the Starling Lab at Stanford University. He is the Founder and Technical lead of The Digital Evidence Preservation Toolkit.

Prior to his current roles, Simon gained experience in journalism. He served as a Graphics editor at Reuters and a Senior Interactive Journalist at The Times.
