Basil Halperin is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Virginia. His academic background includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Stanford Digital Economy Lab.

Prior to his academic appointments, Halperin gained experience in both the private and public sectors. He worked as a Data Scientist for Ubernomics at Uber and as a Quantitative Researcher at Aqr Capital Management.
