Barkha Dutt is an Indian television journalist and author, recognized as a pioneer in television journalism in India. With 23 years of experience as an anchor-reporter, she has extensively covered war and conflict, specializing in Jammu and Kashmir and India-Pakistan relations. Her work has earned her numerous international and national awards, including the Padmashri, and she is India's only Emmy Nominated Reporter for her work from Srinagar.
