Bakari T. Sellers is an American attorney, political commentator, and politician. He made history in 2006 when, at 22 years old, he became the youngest member of the South Carolina state legislature and the youngest African American elected official in the nation, defeating a 26-year incumbent.
He represented South Carolina's 90th District in the House of Representatives from 2006 until 2014. In 2014, he was the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina.
