Biography

Badr Mohammed Al-meer is a Qatari business officeholder and the CEO of Qatar Airways, a position he assumed on November 5, 2023. He took over the role following the resignation of longtime CEO Akbar Al Baker. An engineer by training, Al-meer brings extensive experience in aviation and construction to his current leadership role.

Prior to his appointment as CEO of Qatar Airways, Al-meer served as chief operating officer of Hamad International Airport, a role he began in June 2014.
