Avinash Mehrotra, known as Avi, is the Co-Head of M&A Americas and Global Head of Activism, Shareholder Advisory & Takeover Defense practices at Goldman Sachs. His responsibilities include leading these critical areas within the firm.

Prior to his current roles, Mehrotra served as the Global Head of the Financial Institutions Mergers & Acquisitions business. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in 1996, joining as an associate in New York.
