Ashwin Naik is an entrepreneur and author who has focused on addressing significant health challenges, ranging from genomics to affordable rural health and mental wellbeing. In the early 2000s, he joined the genome project at Los Alamos National Laboratory and was part of the team at Celera Genomics that sequenced the world's first Human Genome.
After returning to India in 2004, Naik established Vaatsalya, India's first rural hospitals network, an award-winning social enterprise.
