Arthur Kroeber serves as a partner and head of research at Gavekal, a Hong Kong-based financial services firm. He has dedicated his career since 1992 to researching and writing about the economy and related social and political issues in China.

In 2002, Kroeber co-founded Dragonomics, an economic research firm specifically focused on China and based in Beijing. Dragonomics later became a subsidiary of Gavekal in 2007.
