Antoine Geissbuhler serves as the Dean of the faculty of medicine at the University of Geneva and as Director of teaching and research at Geneva University Hospitals. He trained as a physician at Geneva University, specializing in internal medicine, before completing a post-doctoral fellowship.

He became an Associate Professor of medical informatics at Vanderbilt University. Upon returning to Geneva, he led the Medical Informatics Division at Geneva University Hospitals.
