Annise Parker is an American politician from Texas, known for her extensive public service in Houston. She served as the 61st Mayor of Houston from 2010 until 2016, becoming the city's second female mayor and one of the first openly gay mayors of a major U.S. city. Currently, Parker is a candidate for Harris County Judge in the Democratic Primary.
