Biography

Anita Indira Anand is a Canadian politician, lawyer, and former academic. She was first elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Oakville in 2019 and currently represents Oakville East in the House of Commons. Anand has held several significant cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Public Services and Procurement (2019-2021), Minister of National Defence (2021-2023), President of the Treasury Board (2023-2024), and Minister of Transport and Internal Trade (2024-2025).
