Anil Ananthaswamy is an Indian-American award-winning science journalist and author. He previously served as the deputy news editor at New Scientist.

He holds a current role as a Member of the Global Advisory Council at The Data Tank and is a Visiting Research Professional at Princeton Language And Intelligence. Ananthaswamy has also been a Journalist-in-residence at the Simons Institute For The Theory Of Computing and the Heidelberg Institute For Theoretical Studies (Hits).
