Biography

Angela Deneece Alsobrooks is an American lawyer and politician who serves as the junior United States Senator from Maryland, a position she has held since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as State's Attorney for Prince George's County from 2011 to 2018 and as County Executive of Prince George's County from 2018 to 2024. She made history as Prince George's County's first female county executive and the first Black female county executive in Maryland.
