Biography

Andrzej Sebastian Duda is a Polish lawyer and politician, born on May 16, 1972, in Kraków. He served as the 6th president of Poland from 2015 to 2025. Before his presidency, Duda was a Member of the Sejm from 2011 to 2014 and a Member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2015.

Running as the candidate for the Law and Justice (PiS) party, he won the 2015 presidential election, defeating incumbent Bronisław Komorowski with 51.55% of the vote in the second round.
