Andrew Bailey is an English banker who has served as the Governor of the Bank of England since March 16, 2020. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority from 2016 to 2020.
His career at the Bank of England began in 1985, where he held various positions including executive director for banking services, Chief Cashier from 2004 to 2011, and head of the bank's Special Resolution Unit.
