Amy Pope is the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations Migration Agency, a role she was elected to by consensus on May 15, 2023. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to lead the organization since its establishment in 1951, serving all 174 of IOM’s member states.
Throughout her career, Pope has focused on making migration safe, orderly, and humane.
