Biography

Amy Klobuchar is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the senior United States Senator from Minnesota since 2007. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, she previously held the position of county attorney for Hennepin County, Minnesota. She is currently running for governor of Minnesota in the 2026 election.

Born in Plymouth, Minnesota, Klobuchar earned her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in political science from Yale University in 1982.
