Alysson Muotri is a Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Cellular & Molecular at UC San Diego. He is a Brazilian geneticist and developmental biologist.

Muotri's career includes roles as a Scientific Director at Canabinote and Co-Founder of Tismoo. He previously held positions as a Postdoc at Salk Institute For Biological Studies and a Fellow at The Pew Charitable Trusts.
