Alvaro Bedoya is an American attorney and government official, recognized for his work on digital privacy issues. He served as a commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from 2022 until 2025, having been nominated to the position by President Joe Biden. Prior to his role at the FTC, Bedoya was the founding director of the Center on Privacy and Technology at the Georgetown University Law Center.
