Alison Hume is a British Labour Party politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Scarborough and Whitby, a position she has held since 2024. She won the seat in the 2024 general election with a majority of over 5,000 votes. Her entry into formal politics was driven by her activism as a disability rights campaigner, which led her to co-found York Accessibility Action.
