Biography

Alexandra Lord is the Chair and Curator of the Division of Medicine and Science at the National Museum of American History, part of the Smithsonian Institution, a role she has held since 2015. In this capacity, she oversees curators, project and curatorial assistants, and collections staff, as well as Fellows, interns, and volunteers. She is responsible for a collection of over 100,000 objects related to the history of medicine and science.
