Biography

Alexander Yui Tah-ray is a career Taiwanese diplomat who currently serves as Taiwan's representative to the United States, a position he assumed in December 2023, succeeding Hsiao Bi-khim. His extensive diplomatic career includes serving as the Taiwanese ambassador to Paraguay from 2015 to 2018 and as vice minister of foreign affairs from 2021 to 2023. He also briefly held the role of representative to the European Union and Belgium in 2023.
