Biography

Alexander De Croo is a Belgian politician and businessman currently serving as Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). He held the position of Prime Minister of Belgium from 2020 to 2025. Following the 2024 Belgian federal election, De Croo announced his resignation on June 9, 2024, and remained as caretaker prime minister until February 3, 2025.

Born in Vilvoorde in 1975, De Croo studied business engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, graduating in 1998.
