Alex Krizhevsky is a Canadian computer scientist recognized for his significant contributions to artificial neural networks and deep learning. In 2012, while a graduate student at the University of Toronto, Krizhevsky, alongside Ilya Sutskever and their PhD advisor Geoffrey Hinton, developed AlexNet.
