Alexander Caedmon Karp is an American businessman best known as the co-founder and CEO of the software firm Palantir Technologies. He co-founded Palantir with Peter Thiel and others in 2003. Karp began his career by investing in start-up companies and stocks, which led him to establish the London-based money management firm Caedmon Group to manage investments for high-net-worth individuals.
Born in New York City on October 2, 1967, Karp grew up in Philadelphia and attended Central High School.
