Alex Campbell (1931–1987) was a Scottish folk singer, affectionately known by his nickname "Big Daddy." He played an influential role in the British folk revival during the 1950s and 1960s, and was among the first folk singers in modern times to tour extensively across the UK and Europe. Described as a "melancholic, hard-travelling Glaswegian," Campbell was celebrated for his distinctive storytelling and singing style.
