Biography

Alessio Figalli is an Italian mathematician currently serving as a Full Professor and FIM Director at ETH Zürich. He earned his doctorate in 2007 under the supervision of Luigi Ambrosio at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and Cédric Villani at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. After holding faculty positions at the French National Centre for Scientific Research and École polytechnique, he moved to the University of Texas at Austin in 2009, becoming a full professor in 2011 and an R.
