Alberto M. Carvalho has served as the General Superintendent of Los Angeles Unified School District, the nation’s second-largest school district, since February 2022. He was unanimously selected by the Los Angeles Unified Board of Education following a comprehensive search. In this role, Superintendent Carvalho has led the development and implementation of the District’s 2022-2026 Ready for the World Strategic Plan.
