Biography

Albert R. Ramdin is a Surinamese diplomat and politician, born on February 27, 1958. He currently serves as Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation in the Santokhi cabinet since July 16, 2020. A member of the Progressive Reform Party (VHP), he was also elected in March 2025 to serve as the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the 2025–2030 term.
