Alan J. Auerbach is an American economist, public policy scholar, and author, recognized for his significant contributions to public finance and taxation policy. He currently holds the position of Robert D. Burch Professor of Economics and Law at the University of California, Berkeley, where he also directs the Burch Center for Tax Policy and Public Finance.
