Biography

Alain Francq is the Director, Innovation and Technology at The Conference Board of Canada, an independent applied research think tank. In this role, he contributes evidence-based analysis and advice to industry and governments.

Previously, Francq spent nine years at the University of Waterloo, where he played a key role in founding and growing a globally-recognized nanotechnology research institute within the $160 million Quantum Nano Centre.
