Ahmed Attaf is an Algerian politician and diplomat born on July 10, 1953. He currently serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, a position he assumed on March 18, 2023. He previously held this ministerial role from early 1996 to late 1999.
Attaf is a graduate of the National School of Administration of Algeria (ENA), Frantz Fanon promotion (1971–1975), and earned a postgraduate diploma (D.E.S) in Political Science from the University of Algiers in 1977.
