Afshin Molavi is a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute at Johns Hopkins SAIS, where he has been based since 2013. His work focuses on geopolitics, global macro trends, and emerging markets, tracking shifting capital flows, new trade corridors, rapid urbanization, new technologies, and the rise of emerging middle classes. He co-founded the emerge85 Lab, a joint research initiative, leading research and dialogue on global dynamics across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
