Adam Silver is an American lawyer and sports executive who serves as the fifth and current Commissioner of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He assumed the role in 2014, succeeding his predecessor and mentor David Stern. During his tenure, the NBA has experienced continued economic and global growth, particularly in China.
